Seeking an entry level Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (ICE) design engineer for a certified small and growing consulting engineering firm located in Oakland, California.
Project Responsibilities will include supporting senior engineering staff on design projects related to environmental engineering, primarily water and wastewater treatment facilities, for the public sector. Typical projects include applications in power distribution (three phase), industrial control systems, instrumentation and sensor selections, standby power facilities, motor controls, lighting systems, and other applications in industrial systems.
Responsibilities will include supporting design engineers in preparing facility plans and specifications, performing design calculations, developing control system requirements, and performing technical analyses for review by senior engineers.
- A BS in Electrical Engineering is required, MS preferred.
- Background and/or coursework in power systems is required; experience with power system computer simulation and modeling highly desirable but not required.
- Technical work experience with exposure to design processes a plus.
- EIT certificate, exposure to the National Electrical Code, and software platform experience with AutoCAD, Word and Excel are preferred.
